Together with the City of Edmonton, Brookfield Residential is undertaking development of the Muttart Urban District project as a catalyst of redevelopment for the larger Stadium Station lands.
In 2018 we will be completing important infrastructure upgrades that will be the foundation for redevelopment.
This infrastructure work includes installation and connection of underground utilities including water, sewer, electrical, a new road connection from 84 street to Stadium Road, the addition of 2 new urban city parks and 2 km of shared use path trails that will connect the Muttart Urban District to the Stadium station LRT.
==May 3 Update==
We are excited to share that construction on the Muttart Urban District Project is planned to start on May 7, 2018. The overall scope of Brookfield Residential’s work includes utility and road construction and is expected to last until early October 2018. The schedule is dependent on weather conditions
We are commencing with underground utility connections–followed by the installation of new utility infrastructure including water, sewer, gas and electrical. Once that is complete, we will be building a new road – Muttart Crossing – that runs from 84th street to Stadium Road. This work will require intermittent road closures / detours along 84th St.
Residents can expect higher than normal traffic volumes along 84th & 85th streets and 106A Avenue due to construction activities and vehicles.Residents may also notice increased dust and noise. Proper erosion and sediment control measures will be in place.
Our construction activity could run from 7 a.m. - 9 p.m. Monday to Saturday and 9 a.m. -7 p.m. on Sundays/holidays. This is in accordance with the Edmonton Community Standards bylaw.
Any associated LRT related disruptions will be managed and communicated by the City of Edmonton / Edmonton Transit System.
Thank you for your patience and support of this project.
