Guest Post – The Styled Social

The holidays are about sharing the love and connecting with friends and family. We often get wrapped up in the details and spend more time prepping and serving instead of enjoying time with company and hosting them. It’s all part of the guest experience and we want to give you a break! Here’s a few tips that will help ease the pressure:

  • DEC.22 BLOG IMAGE 3Make a plan! Whatever you can do ahead of time, do. The day before the get together, shop for everything you need. This means less stress for you on the day of the party!
  • Prep any food or drinks. If you’re making a signature cocktail, make a batch that you can store in the fridge and then pour into glasses and garnish right before guests arrive. Your signature cocktail will add a lovely décor element and wow your guests when they’re greeted with one!
  • Holiday décor doesn’t need to be traditional. First, use what you already have! You likely have tree decorations that you don’t use anymore, so display them in a vase or bowl to make a lovely centrepiece.
  • Our last tip will make you the ultimate host. Create a small gift for your guests to take on their way out. Use simple gift boxes that can be assembled ahead of time and fill them with your favourite chocolates or holiday baking. Plus, these gifts can be displayed during your party and add an extra decor element!

Happy entertaining!
