Leading up to Halloween, Brookfield Residential was on the prowl for the cutest costumes for children and pets during the second half of October. Entrants posted photos, tagging #BrookfieldYEG and #BrookfieldYYC. Our image gallery showcases some of the best images that we’ve received so far.
We’ll be announcing the winners shortly. They’ll receive $100 gift cards for toy stores/pet stores depending on their entry. Stay tuned!
The Grande Boulevard, Lake Summerside
This Halloween, approximately 1,500 kids trick-or-treated along the Grande Boulevard in Lake Summerside, a record number for the community that has grown over the last six years. The candy is definitely a draw for the kids, but it’s also the amazing decorations that line the street – from pumpkins on fire, creepy skeletons, and an amazing amount of special effects.
The Summerside Business Network was incredibly supportive, with their redistribution centre available to deliver additional candy resources to houses that ran out. For those who didn’t have the extra funds to purchase more candy, the organization provided the treats for these homes.
Congratulations to all of the residents who participated and volunteered to support this year’s efforts! With the media attention and rave reviews, we’re sure the event will continue to grow year after year.
