The community of Lake Summerside really knows how to throw a Beach Bash – more than 3,700 people came out for the community’s 15th anniversary on Saturday, September 10, far surpassing everyone’s expectations! It’s a testament to the residents and seeing how many came together to celebrate Edmonton’s first lake-side community.
On Saturday, residents and guests enjoyed live music, activities in builders’ tents, bouncy castles, a food truck rally and a fireworks display. The beer and spirits tent was highly successful, and through it nearly $1,900 was raised to go back to the Lake Summerside Residents’ Association.
Rod Loyola, MLA for Edmonton-Ellerslie, joined Brookfield’s Rich Westren in opening the event with greetings, and City Councillor Moe Banga stopped by to participate—both as Councillor for the area and as a resident of Lake Summerside.
The event truly brought a community together for fun and celebration!
